never, i suggest you tan your skin if you're going with a darker hair color, this is only because if you're pale and you dye your hair darker it will make you look washed out and people would probably call you goth, i wouldn't go with black hair unless you know you're going to keep that color for a long period of time, it is EXTREMELY difficult to get black (or dark brown, maybe even medium brown) pigment out of your hair, it takes many procedures and it's time consuming... red hair... it all depends on what kind of tone and shade you want, i suggest you post a picture of yourself so people can verify if it would be a good color for your skin tone

No! it looks SO unnatural and ugly please don't do it I know plenty of people who have done that and well it looks ugly, you just cant pull it off if u have really light skin, sorry. That's just my opinion though. You should be happy with what you were born with.

From experience I can tell you Red hair looks awesome. If you dye your hair black you will look emo. But if you go red just dont use anything with purpley red tones. A good one to try is Garnier Fructis B4. Im pretty sure thats the number. Youll see it on the the box. It also says Nutri Browns on the box. Its specifically designed for people who have brown hair. This is my opinion. Pale skin and dark hair can be a stunning combination because they are a really nice contrast, but better for the winter when the colors you wear will compliment them better. If you have really dark hair and really pale skin in the summer when you were bright colors and pastels it will just make you look washed out. For summer lighten your hair, it'll make you look less pale, put on a little bronzing shimmer powder and no matter how pale you are it will give you a sweet natural glow. I work at a pet store and I get compliments on my skin all the time. I am naturally pale with darker hair. Be careful with red shades, they only go with certain tones. If you are any shade of yellow or olive like me red hair looks unnatural. Red looks best paired with more pink skintones. If you send a pic I can give you some ideas of colors that would look nice.
