ok at school i am called emo cuz have long hair not to long but long like a little past the eye brow and i listen to music like bfmv, a7x, linkin park, and things like that. i also were some black clothing. i no im not emo but people just keep on telling me im em and i should go home and cut my self and **** like that. i try to explain wat emo is but they dont listen and keep n going so i am in a mood to start telling them off but i have no idea wat to say if u have any idea for me wat to say plz tell me and make it good i want to get into there face and just burn them thx for ur help PEACE!!!!

First off, Emo is short for Emotive-Hardcore MEANING it's a music genre (that originated in the mid-eighties and DIED in the 90's). Some bands of this genre are Dag Nasty, Embrace, and Rites of Spring. Emo came and went and it did NOT evolve.

Next, I used to face stupid crap like this and the more I tried to correct/educate them, the more they did it. They just do it to get a reaction from you. What worked for me was to either ignore them or just agree with them. If you stop fighting it, it loses its fun really fast.

wow.. uhm... emo is short for EMOtional... It is a lifestyle and is a stereotype being labeled as anything else (EX. Genre's )... So yea.. ignore them every 1 knows {{emo_Kids}} have more fun.. and there just jealous..

Basically look at what they wear, pick a stereotype and let them have it, tell them to go home and so what the stereotype is, like if its a slut then they can go get pregnant. Just as they do to you. Then they'll start saying "NO I'm not!" or something like that, interrupt them and say "My point exactly you F-ing (insert stereotype here)!" and walk away. If they don't get it, thats no longer your problem.

most people do not "get" or understand what emo is... I know I don't. I have 3 kids and the oldest is 17. we tease her all the time that she is emo too, even though she is not.(she is strait-edge) there is a fine line and a lot of rules that go with all the different groups these days. My son wants an emo haircut... but he tells me that his hair is not dark enough...Whats with that... too many rules... Who cares what they say, or think!.....just be a good person ALWAYS, and just be yourself. It will pass soon enough....

Just beat them. You can't reason with our stupid generation now a-days. Or just broden your music in take. Go back in time and listen to a little Music from the Rat Pack. What can people say to you if you listen to the generation that started it all? What can people call you if you listen to everything from 2 pac- to Kenny loggins. Find a style that suits you with your black cloths, just be Yourself, some one that they can't lable. The worst they could call you is names, as long as no one puts thier hands on you you're good, also hang out with a crowd of friends who will stick up for you as well.
