Because most of the time the people who say that are ones who have nothing better to do or just like putting people down. The same thing happens to me, and a WHOLE lot of other people. So don't worry. I don't even know where that stupid label came from anyway. As I always say, " Labels Are For Soup Cans, You Can't Label Me!" Kinda dorky...but it gets the point across. Good luck!

I feel you, man. I wear black all the time too; and I'm neither Emo or Goth. When people give me sh*t about being Emo or Goth, I tell them I'm a HUGE Johnny Cash fan.

Because of the emo/goth trend...duh. lolz. Seriously though most people who do wear black are in that category of stereotypes and therefore people willl start to think that anyone who does wear black is in that classifications...

I feel you, I wear alot of black too, but for other reasons, I think it looks good, and it slimming..

I tell people that I'm not emo, I'm a ninja, and if they doubt me, I throw a shuiken at em! :-)

oh hey me to i use to love the skinny jeans and the haircuts.

but i certainly am not emo.

cant really fit into those skinny jeans with my belly though lol.
