i have the personality but not the look i need some advice to set me on the right track but theres a problem theres many emos at my school and its embaressing to go for the same look they have because i would be a copier and if i got my hair cut emo theres no going back.the one stlye of hair the one emo has is the long cross right eye hair usualy used by amny emos or the short spiky hair but i dont no if i should take the chance and see if he notices im a copyer but heh its flattery!

maybe get some baggy black pants w/ chains, but dont make it look too gothy. make yourself look kinda punk-ish. =]

A long fringe is ussually a must. Im a girl and i just have straight kinda bangs though becuase my mom makes me cut them haha... But anywho. Heres a link to a "Rate my emo haircut" sight. ITs good becuase the list is like endless of all the haircuts on it. Also before i stop talking here... To the girl who said "how often do you cut yourself" or watever....NOT ALL EMOS are into self mutilation or osmetihng! god! im emo and I'm needlephobic! lol. i cant stand the sight of a cut or a needle or anything *Shudder*.

My advise for the hair is cut it kinda like my avatar. My hair in real life is cut like that and right now it's kinda long. When I put my bangs in front of my face it's like a whole new look for an emo. I'm no emo and I don't like the hair style unless it's on Japanese people cuz they invented it and when they do it it doesn't look like the plastered it down to stay. it' looks like their hair does it on purpose. If do the haircut I recommend you don't have to plaster yer hair and if yer hair is naturally curly when ya get the hair cut all ya have to do is blow dry it then straiten it right afterwords. It seems like the key to being emo is to have long bangs so if ya get this hair cut get it a bit longer. The bangs look good when they're right above the bottom of yer nose. Try it.
