Should I cut my hair or not?

My hair use to be really long and I cut it short (around chin length) over summer (by the way, I am female and in high school and I'm looking for something thats in style and will look casual for school). I liked how it was, but now my hair is going past my shoulders and I'm thinking about cutting it again, but this time having it short in the back and keeping the front the same length.

I'm still not sure on what style to do, however, since I don't really want a punk or emo look...

My hair is naturally black and has some honey colored highlights in it. When wet, my hair gets super curly....

i think you should get bangs in the front and layers.....don't cut it that short......and straighten it
