Whats the official emo dress style?

i'm new at being emo so i need help at how to dress right. i also noticed all the emo girls at my school have really nasty unwashed looking hair. do i have to have greasy hair to be emo? can i ever wear my hair out of my face? and can i ever wear the color pink? and do i really have to wear those thick ugly glasses? i hope not. lemme know the official dress style.

Okay, well you can be goth. Emo is classified as emotional which translates to suicide. I am 100% against labels and if you are trying this hard to be "emo" then idk if its for you. If you're trying to dress like this to fit into a crowd or make new friends. They're not really your friends. Your friends are people who like you for you, not how you dress. I know at my school all the "emo/goth" kids are alwasy getting and trouble and they are always on drugs and crap like that. So, i suggest you re-think what style you are going for here, butmy advice is.. BE YOU AND WEAR WHAT YOU WANT.
